Sovereign Warrior began with a simple belief: when we lead with heart, health, gratitude, and respect for the land, we come back to what truly matters. That belief brought us to Montana’s Bitterroot Valley, where food, community, and purpose became the foundation for everything we make.

Food Is Never Just Food

When we set out to build Sovereign Warrior, we were not just trying to make another snack. We were searching for a better way to live, eat, and serve the people around us. That clarity led us to the Bitterroot Valley in Montana, where the land is bountiful, the community is close, and the bison still roam. Finding our place here meant showing up and contributing: Lance through his work as a wildland firefighter, and Yasmeen through her creativity, cooking, and entrepreneurial spirit. Through handcrafted integrity, careful sourcing, and flavor-rich nutrition, we created bison jerky with a deeper purpose behind it.

Our whole muscle jerky is made with 100% grass-fed and finished bison from Wild Idea Buffalo. What drew us to Wild Idea was not just the quality of the bison, but the intention behind the entire process. Their humane field harvest practices are designed to reduce stress compared to conventional industrial systems. Their bison roam freely across the prairie, and their approach to restoring the land and honoring the animal is one we deeply respect and are proud to support. For us, that matters. Because the way an animal is raised, harvested, and respected helps shape the final product.

Regenerative Organic Certified® Bison

Our Aegean flavor currently uses Regenerative Organic Certified® bison from Wild Idea. Because regenerative organic bison supply is limited and seasonal, it is harder to source consistently at scale. As availability grows, we hope to expand our ROC offerings over time while staying honest about what each product uses.

Our Bites come from Creekside Ranch in Darby, Montana, just minutes from our facility. Creekside is the ranch that helped inspire this business in the first place. Their bison are pasture raised, 100% grass-fed and finished, and never confined. They raise their animals with care, integrity, and respect for life, which makes them a natural partner for the products we are proud to share.
